 KILL PRIDE   

Pride is a force that works against God working in and through us. Pride can stop the flow of Gods presence. :(
God dislikes pride because pride stops him from having true fellowship with his saints but
unfortunately that's one area that people find difficult to get out of. it's like it has become a stigma
and part of so many Christians life style. Pride of life, When God calls a person, he takes out pride from that person, because pride can result to stubbornness/resentment and can also result to resistance to change.
pride can also be translated as telling God that you know better than he does, therefore it stops you from being submissive,
1peter 5:5-6 says In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,

“God opposes the proud
    but shows favor to the humble.”

⁶ Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. ⁷ Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

God is love, God is not proud, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble, pride is an attribute of the devil for example Love endures, but pride doesn't you can say God see's pride as the opposite of Love. 

Pride can make you  unforgiving, but makes you hold grudge. you see that automatically stops the flow of Gods presence, for we ought to worship God in spirit and in truth in Mark 11:25 it says 

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. "

you see It says forgive, why? so that your heavenly father will also forgive you meaning if you do not forgive your heavenly father will not forgive you.

God wants us to be blameless at all times, but mostly in time of worship, so that our worship would be well pleasing to him and so that he can flow through us freely also to manifest power to heal, deliver and bless. (spirit and in truth).

1Timothy 2:8 says
I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger or quarreling or resentment or doubt [in their minds], lifting up holy hands.

 The above verse simply tells us that malice, anger, grudge, etc can stop us from worshiping God in spirit and in truth, all as a result of SELF PRIDE.
Some feel proud just to call of an argument/quarrel they had with a sister or a brother and that leads to malice, bitterness and all.

Joyce Meyer a great woman of God once said. "DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR FORGIVE". she had known the importance of forgiveness, you are simply doing your self a favor when you forgive. you strengthen the relationship with you and God when you do, and you will also experience the fullness of Gods divine presence. 
The Lord appeared to me in a dream on the 26th of Dec 2012 and told me that darkness will come upon the earth, then he further talked about bitterness in peoples hearts against others, that we should not hold grudge and should not think evil against each other, or should not grieve/strive one another, and then he open a scripture for me in the book of Zechariah 8:17 which says:
 Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor;
And do not love a false oath.
For all these are things that I hate,’
Says the Lord.”
And showed me more similar scriptures in the book of Zechariah; i encourage that you study the book of Zechariah in your own time.

 In summary, we ougth to love one another, kill pride for God is love and those who dwell in love dwell in God and God in them. 1John 4:16
